Empower. Discover. Appreciate.
At Olive Tree International Kindergarten and Nursery, we strongly believe in celebrating the unique qualities of each child in our care. We recognise that children are naturally curious and capable of creating theories about the world around them. Our approach to learning is centred on exploration, inquiry, and creativity, focusing on developing critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration among students of all ages development.
We are a team of devoted, passionate educators committed to creating a nurturing and supportive safe haven, a place where every child's physical, emotional, and mental well-being is prioritised. We firmly believe that each child possesses inherent competence and boundless potential across academic, artistic, social, and emotional domains. We aim to empower and inspire every child to thrive and excel, cultivating a community where wellness, resilience, and personal development are paramount. We strive to develop and foster a culture that celebrates diversity, creativity, and holistic growth.
In alignment with the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, we are committed to creating an environment that allows children the freedom and opportunity to engage in hands-on, experiential learning within a thoughtfully designed physical space. By providing ample time for exploration and discovery, we empower children to actively shape their educational journey daily.
Embedded with inquiry-based learning approach, a source of joy for our students, encourages them to ask, investigate, and explore topics independently. This active and engaging approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning and develop a deep understanding of concepts that can be applied to real-world challenges.
In addition, we wholeheartedly incorporate biblical values into our everyday teaching practices. We believe in embedding Christian beliefs, values, and principles into our curriculum and teaching children essential values such as kindness, forgiveness, generosity, and gratitude. Our comprehensive approach to education, with a strong focus on character development and moral education alongside academic learning, promotes a sense of community and responsibility among our students.
See the learning environment as the "third teacher" for children.
Embrace the space that allows them to learn freely through practice and experience.
As a teacher, guide and encourage students to explore and express their views and feelings about things actively.
Empower children to ask questions, conduct interviews, and explore different topics, allowing them to take control of their own learning.
As children take the lead, teachers will guide and facilitate, helping them construct important concepts and knowledge. - Children's questions will lead them through a process of learning to collect, analyze, manage, and report information.
The "transdisciplinary model" integrates learning activities and encourages diversified exploration.
Embrace essential values such as kindness, forgiveness, generosity, and gratitude.
Guiding children to love God and others, serve willingly, and foster positive thoughts.
Promote the development of soft skills as teachers observe, listen, ask questions, provide encouragement, and guide children in exploration.
Establish various soft skills such as communication, self-motivation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. This will allow children to understand themselves and explore the world at their own pace without rushing to catch up with the curriculum.
Adopt the methods of "observation" and "documentation", focusing on students' learning attitudes.
Teachers, parents and students (self-assessment) engage in observing and studying the learning and development process.
School-based design of appropriate course content. Support children in entering mainstream primary schools and international primary schools.
